Writing

When traveling or living abroad I have always chronicled my experiences. This has resulted in a collection of travel essays spanning nine years and five different countries. My most recent travel blog, ‘The Road to Peace is Paved with Teacups’, narrates my assimilation process into Northern Irish culture and contemporary context. Through monthly essays I reflected on various chapters of (Northern) Irish history and mythology, and how I see those intersecting with my own country’s legacy.

Visual Storytelling at COP27

From 7th - 19th November 2022 I was in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt as a visual storyteller to collaborate with a number of events and organisations at the COP27, the 27th annual UN climate conference, including ClimateGeneration and the UN Climate Secretariat.

In this Visual Report I have compiled all commissioned graphic recording work, as well as an honest account of what it was like for me to be there. Not just people's important conversations that I was asked to visually summarise, but also what those conversations did to me, to give you as the reader more context for interpreting my account, but also to make it an account of flesh and blood - of what it was like to be there, on the ground.

You can also download a PDF of the COP27 Visual Report below. Or if you’re interested in ordering hard copies, please get in touch.
